Google‘s latest Nest Thermostat is a sleek upgrade, but it’s got a bit of a problem: the screen’s a tad too dark. It’s like trying to read a book in a dimly lit room—not fun.

The older Nest Thermostats let you adjust the brightness, but this new one’s stuck on a setting that’s just too low. It’s especially annoying at night or when the room’s not super bright.

But don’t worry, Google’s got a fix in the works. They’re planning to add a manual brightness setting so you can make it as bright (or dim) as you like.

There’s also a little issue with the “Farsight” feature. It’s supposed to give you a quick glance at the thermostat’s status, but it’s a bit harder to see on this new model.

These are minor hiccups that Google can probably fix with a software update. So, if you’re thinking about getting one, just keep in mind that the screen might be a bit dim until Google sorts it out.
