Portal TV from Meta (formerly Facebook) is an innovative video calling solution that puts your favorite people on your biggest screen. Even if they don’t have Portal, video call friends and family on their smartphones and tablets using Messenger, WhatsApp, or Zoom. Messenger Rooms gives you the ultimate video calling experience for large groups, allowing you to start or join sessions with up to 50 people.

Smart Camera automatically adjusts to keep everyone in view and pans and zooms to keep up with the action. Smart Sound increases the speaker’s voice while reducing background noise. By design, the portal is private, and all calls are encrypted. With the sliding camera cover, you can effortlessly disable the camera and microphone, as well as block the lens.

You also stream movies and episodes from including Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, with extra account activations, including Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and the Food Network, which provide music videos, news, games, and more. You may watch a show with friends on Facebook Watch as if you were in the same room. Ask a question, set a timer, add products to your shopping list, control your smart home, and more with Alexa Built-in.

With Portal’s AR experience library, you can do much more. With Story Time, you may transform into some of your children’s favorite storybook characters, complete with music, animation, and immersive effects. The mobile app allows you to upload photos from Instagram and Facebook directly to your Portal. During calls, you can even share photos.

Portal TV requires an HDMI cable, which is not included in the package, but it does come with excellent remote control.
