Battlefield is back in a big way, and preorders for the next installment—officially titled simply Battlefield 6—are now live across every major platform. If you’ve been following the months of leaks and teases, you already know that EA is banking on a return to high-intensity, modern-warfare thrills when the game drops on October 10, 2025. But whether you’re a die-hard franchise veteran or simply intrigued by the new weapon skins and battle pass goodies, here’s everything you need to know about where and how to lock in your copy today.

Your preorder options, at a glance

EA has kept things straightforward: there are two core editions of Battlefield 6, each available digitally and physically on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

  • Standard Edition – $69.99
    Includes:
    • Base game
    • Tombstone Pack preorder bonus (Gravedigger soldier skin, XP Boost Set, weapon charm, sticker, patch, and more)
  • Phantom Edition – $99.99
    Includes everything in Standard, plus:
    • Battlefield Pro Token
    • Phantom Pack of 4 soldier skins
    • Knife skin, vehicle skin, weapon sticker, weapon charm, dog tag
    • Battle Pass with 25 tier skips
    • Deluxe XP Boost
    • Additional cosmetic bundles

You can snag either edition directly through EA’s own channels on the EA app, or via your platform’s storefront:

  • PC (Steam & Epic Games Store)
    • Standard: $69.99 on Steam | $69.99 on Epic Games
    • Phantom: $99.99 on Steam | $99.99 on Epic Games
  • Console
    • PlayStation Store – Standard and Phantom Editions available now (10% discount available)
    • Microsoft Store (Xbox) – Standard and Phantom Edition available now
    • Digital retailers – Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop all have physical/digital preorders; Best Buy’s Standard and Phantom Edition preorder even comes with a $10 gift card bonus.

Why $70 and not $80?

With the industry creeping toward $80 price tags on new triple-A titles, EA quietly confirmed that Battlefield 6 will stick to $70 for its Standard Edition. After Battlefield 2042’s mixed reception, this felt like a consumer-friendly move—and a strategic one, given the franchise’s need to rebuild goodwill. In fact, even the premium Phantom Edition arrives at $99.99, undercutting the rumored $109.99 ceiling many expected.

Preorder bonuses

Regardless of edition, every preorder nets you the Tombstone Pack, bursting with unique cosmetics and XP boosts to help you hit the front lines—and rank up—faster. Phantom Edition buyers get all of that plus their expanded suite of skins and the full battle pass with tier skips.

If you’d rather shop at a favorite retailer, be on the lookout for exclusive extras:

  • Best Buy: $10 gift card with Standard and Phantom Edition
  • GameStop: extra 60-minute Career and Hardware XP boosts on top of Tombstone Pack
  • Amazon/Walmart: often bundle store credit or discount codes—keep an eye on those product pages!

Two open beta weekends in August

EA isn’t stopping at preorders. To ensure launch day runs smoothly, two open beta weekends will let you test multiplayer at no cost:

  1. Beta 1: August 9 (4 am EST) – August 11 (4 am EST)
  2. Beta 2: August 14 (4 am EST) – August 17 (4 am EST)

All platforms are welcome; just link your EA account and jump in. Every map, mode, and weapon shown in the trailers will be playable, giving you a perfect taste of what to expect on October 10.

Preordering Battlefield 6 is more than a simple click—it’s your first step back into the legendary “All-Out Warfare” experience. From the Tombstone Pack’s gritty cosmetics to the deep roster of skins in the Phantom Edition, EA has assembled a suite of extras to reward early buyers. And with two wide-open betas in August, you can test the waters before committing.

So choose your platform, decide which edition suits your style (and budget), and secure your spot in what promises to be one of the fall’s biggest multiplayer events. Battlefield 6 lands October 10, but the fight for preorder supremacy is already underway—don’t miss out.
