AppleCare One subscription lets you protect 3 Apple devices with one plan

AppleCare One is a new subscription plan from Apple that allows users to protect multiple devices under one monthly payment, including older gadgets.

Imagine you’re juggling an iPhone, an iPad, maybe even a MacBook—and you’re tired of wrestling with separate warranties, repair fees, and the nagging “Did I buy that AppleCare+ in time?” question. Apple just simplified all that with AppleCare One, a $19.99‑per‑month subscription that bundles protection for your key gadgets into a single plan.

AppleCare One lets you cover up to three devices—including iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and even AirPods—under one roof. If you add a fourth device (or more), it’s a flat $5.99 extra per month for each one. The benefits mirror everything you’d get under individual AppleCare+ policies—battery service when capacity dips below 80%, unlimited accidental damage repairs (think drops and spills), and 24/7 priority tech support from Apple experts.

But AppleCare One doesn’t stop there. For the first time, you can enroll devices up to four years old (as long as they pass Apple’s “good condition” diagnostic check), rather than being locked into the old 60‑day window after purchase. Headphones (AirPods, Beats, etc.) have a shorter eligibility—they must be under one year old to join the plan.

Perhaps the biggest upgrade: Theft and Loss protection now extends beyond iPhones to iPads and Apple Watches. Traditionally only available in AppleCare+ for iPhones, this feature reimburses you for a stolen or irreparably lost device (minus a deductible), giving serious peace of mind if your gear goes missing.

Signing up is as simple as tapping through your Settings app on iPhone, iPad, or Mac, or chatting with a Specialist in an Apple Store. The new plan goes live July 24, 2025, in the U.S., with more regions expected to follow in the coming months.

This move is part of Apple’s broader pivot toward services—a strategy that has fueled record‑high growth in recent years. In Q1 of fiscal 2025, Apple’s Services arm grew 14% year‑over‑year to $26.34 billion, marking yet another all‑time quarterly high. And it dovetails neatly with Apple One, Apple’s flagship bundle that packages Music, TV+, Arcade, and iCloud+ into a single subscription (starting at $19.95/month for the Individual plan).

Whether you’re a one‑device minimalist or an ecosystem aficionado with gadgets strewn across your desk, AppleCare One offers a straightforward, cost‑effective way to ensure nothing stands between you and the next great thing you discover on your Apple device. It’s insurance, reimagined for the subscription era—no trade‑in‑level hoops, no per‑device sticker shock, just one monthly bill for all your Apple tech.
