The trailer for Apple TV+‘s upcoming ‘Slow Horses,’ starring Academy Award winner Gary Oldman, was released today. The series will premiere globally on Friday, April 1, 2022.

The six-part drama, based on CWA Gold Dagger Award-winner Mick Herron’s debut novel in the “Slow Horses” series, will premiere globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes, followed by one episode weekly, every Friday.

The series is produced by See-Saw Films and Will Smith (“Veep”) produced it for television. Along with Smith, Graham Yost serves as an executive producer. Executive producers of the show include Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Gail Mutrux, and Douglas Urbanski. All six episodes are directed and executive produced by James Hawes.

“Slow Horses” is a deeply humorous espionage drama about a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who work in MI5’s dumping site known unfavorably as Slough House. Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, the bright but irascible commander of the spies who wound up in Slough House after making career-ending mistakes while navigating the smoke and mirrors of the intelligence world.

Academy Award nominee Kristin Scott Thomas, BAFTA Scotland Award winner Jack Lowden, Olivia Cooke, Saskia Reeves, Dust Demri-Burns, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Paul Higgins, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Steve Waddington, Paul Hilton, Antonio Aakeel, Peter Judd, and a special guest appearance by Academy Award nominee Jonathan Pryce round out the ensemble cast.
