Apple TV+ announced a series order for “The New Look”

“The New Look,” an epic thriller set against the Nazi occupation of Paris during World War II, has received a series order from Apple TV+.

“The New Look” is an epic thriller set against the end of Coco Chanel’s reign as the world’s most famous fashion designer and the rise of Christian Dior, who helps return spirit and life to the world with his groundbreaking, iconic imprint of beauty and influence that will define generations to come.

Todd A. Kessler will write, executive produce, and direct “The New Look,” which will be produced by Apple Studios and starring Emmy Award winner Ben Mendelsohn and Academy Award winner Juliette Binoche.

“The New Look,” from Apple Studios, will be the first project from Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Todd A. Kessler’s newly formed television producing partnership; Mark A. Baker will also produce.

About “The New Look”

“The New Look” is a live-action World War II-era thriller based on true events that focuses on the pivotal moment in the twentieth century when Paris led the world back to life through its fashion icon, Christian Dior (played by Mendelsohn), whose creations dominated world fashion in the decade following WWII.

The intertwined narrative will feature the incredible stories of Dior’s contemporaries and enemies, including the grand dame Coco Chanel (played by Binoche), Balmain, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Pierre Cardin, Yves Saint Laurent, and others.
