Safari just quietly picked up a superpower that a lot of us have been faking with hacks and extensions for years: it can now watch a page for you and tap you on the shoulder the moment something important changes. In macOS 27 and iOS 27, Apple is baking this directly into the browser with a feature called “Notify Me,” and it has the potential to change how we track restocks, deals, tickets, and even news.
At a basic level, Notify Me does exactly what the name suggests: you point Safari at a particular page, tell it what you care about, and it keeps coming back in the background until it spots a relevant change, then sends you a notification. Think of a product that’s always sold out, a concert that’s about to sell out, or a volatile price on an airline’s site – instead of obsessively refreshing, Safari now does the repetitive work for you.
