Reportedly, Apple is preparing to launch a new range of iPad Pros that will feature OLED displays, as per Mark Gurman‘s report in Bloomberg. This launch is expected to happen in early May, and it is eagerly awaited by Apple enthusiasts. It could redefine the limits of mobile computing by combining the appeal of stunning visuals with the power of Apple’s in-house silicon.

According to Gurman’s reliable sources, the upcoming iPad Pros will be equipped with the latest Apple technology – the M3 chip, which is a more powerful version of the M2 chip. Not only that but the new Magic Keyboard will also be released along with the tablet. This keyboard will have an enlarged trackpad, which will be beneficial for both professionals and creatives who need to be productive on-the-go.

The Pro lineup is not the only tablet series that Apple is working on. There are rumors suggesting that the company is planning to introduce a new iPad Air with a larger screen, breaking the conventional boundaries of screen size. This new tablet is expected to have a 12.9-inch display, which will be the first for the Air family. Even though it may feature a less advanced M2 chip instead of the latest M3 chip, the larger screen could change what an “Air” device is capable of achieving.

It’s worth noting that the latest iPad Pro models are already equipped with the powerful M2 chip, while the Air model still uses the tried-and-tested M1 chip. This deliberate differentiation in Apple’s processors seems to indicate a deliberate hierarchy, with each tier catering to specific user needs and financial considerations.

Apple’s plan to unveil new devices in May faced some obstacles. According to Bloomberg‘s report, the company originally intended to launch the products in late March or April. However, the software development process was more complicated than expected, requiring additional time to ensure a polished and seamless experience that meets Apple’s high standards.

If Apple sticks to the rumored May timeline, they will release their latest iPad before the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which is scheduled for June 10th. During this event, Apple is expected to showcase the full potential of its latest iPad offerings, which will demonstrate the company’s hallmark of seamless integration of hardware and software. The WWDC is a highly anticipated gathering of coders and software experts, and Apple’s presentation is sure to be a highlight of the conference.
