Apple’s latest iPhone lineup has brought significant changes, including the discontinuation of the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini, marking the end of an era for those seeking a smaller flagship device.

Apple’s journey with the compact iPhone began with the iPhone 12 mini, and it was carried forward with the iPhone 13 mini. However, with the release of the all-new iPhone 15 series, the company has decided to bid farewell to its pocket-sized offering.

The iPhone 12 mini was the first to go, as it was discontinued with the launch of the iPhone 14. This left the iPhone 13 mini as the sole option for users who preferred a smaller, yet high-powered, smartphone. However, it’s important to note that the iPhone SE (3rd Gen) is still available for those who desire a more petite device, though it lacks some of the modern features such as Face ID.

For consumers looking for alternatives within the Apple ecosystem, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 continue to be viable choices. The iPhone 13, in particular, has now taken the place of the iPhone 12 in Apple’s lineup and has seen a price drop.

Apple’s current smartphone lineup, as of September 23, 2023, consists of the following options:

  • iPhone SE — Starting at $429
  • iPhone 13 — Starting at $599
  • iPhone 14 — Starting at $699
  • iPhone 15 — Starting at $799
  • iPhone 15 Plus — Starting at $899
  • iPhone 15 Pro — Starting at $999
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max — Starting at $1,199

While the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 12 have been officially discontinued by Apple, those seeking these models may still find them available through Apple’s refurbished store, though availability is subject to supply constraints. As Apple moves forward with its latest offerings, the tech world eagerly anticipates the innovations and enhancements that each new iPhone generation brings.
