Apple is gearing up to launch an exciting feature in 2025 called Business Caller ID, part of its expanding Apple Business Connect program. This new tool aims to help businesses of all sizes, from small startups to large corporations, boost their credibility and protect consumers from spam or phishing scams.
Once live, businesses can register to display their name, logo, and department details when calling customers, allowing recipients to quickly verify who is contacting them. This will make it easier for users to differentiate between legitimate calls and unwanted spam—a useful addition as spam calls continue to be a nuisance for many.
Apple Business Connect already offers companies ways to manage their presence on Apple services like Maps, Siri, and Wallet. With the Caller ID feature, businesses will also be able to brand their communications within the Mail and Phone apps. Emails from participating companies will feature logos in the Mail app, enhancing brand recognition and building trust with recipients. Additionally, companies can now place their branding on Tap to Pay transactions, giving businesses even more visibility during customer interactions.
This service is expected to launch next year, while the branded email feature will roll out sooner with iOS 18.2 later in 2024. With these tools, Apple is encouraging businesses to engage with customers across its ecosystem in a more recognizable and trusted way.
