Apple‘s latest earbuds, the AirPods 4, are here, and they’re packed with features. But there’s a twist: for the first time in AirPods history, Apple has decided to ditch the charging cable from the box.

That’s right, you’ll need to dig into your gadget drawer or make a quick trip to the tech store to find a compatible USB-C cable if you don’t have one already. It’s a move that has raised eyebrows among fans who’ve come to expect a complete package from Apple.

So, why the change? Well, Apple is likely betting that most people already have multiple USB-C cables lying around, thanks to the widespread adoption of this universal charging standard. It’s also possible that the company is trying to cut costs and reduce its environmental impact.

But while the missing cable might be a minor inconvenience for some, the AirPods 4 themselves are a significant upgrade. With features like personalized spatial audio, improved battery life, and a sleek new design, they offer a compelling listening experience.

So, are the AirPods 4 worth the price? If you’re already an Apple ecosystem user and you’re looking for a pair of high-quality wireless earbuds, they’re definitely worth considering. Just be prepared to supply your own charging cable.
