At CES 2025, Anker, a brand known for its innovative charging solutions, has unveiled a new 140W wall charger that promises to keep your charging needs firmly in place, quite literally. This latest product from Anker introduces a unique design where the four USB ports are positioned on the bottom of the charger. This strategic placement not only aids in maintaining a stable connection but also enhances the charger’s center of gravity, ensuring it doesn’t fall out of wall sockets even when multiple heavy cables are attached.

The image shows two Anker wall chargers, both labeled with "140W" indicating their power output. The chargers have a sleek, modern design with a digital display on the front showing "140W" in blue. Each charger has multiple USB ports on the side for charging various devices.

The new Anker Charger (140W) is not just about stability; it’s also a visual and functional treat. It features Anker’s first-ever built-in screen on a wall charger, which displays real-time power output for each of its ports. This feature allows users to monitor exactly how much power is being delivered to their devices, offering a level of transparency and control not commonly seen in charging technology.

The image shows an Anker 140W wall charger plugged into an electrical outlet. The charger features a digital display that shows the real-time charging status, including the total output power and port-specific details. It also monitors temperature to prevent overheating. The charger has an interactive control button below the display screen, enhancing its user interface. The sleek design is highlighted with a black finish, making it a modern and efficient charging solution.

The charger includes three USB-C ports and one USB-A port, capable of charging up to four devices simultaneously. This is a significant upgrade from Anker’s previous models where the weight of the charger often led to it disconnecting from less secure wall outlets. The new design with ports on the bottom should, in theory, keep the charger more securely anchored. However, critics point out a potential drawback: in low-light situations, plugging in might become slightly more cumbersome due to the ports’ location.

Pricing and availability

Early adopters can grab this innovative charger for $79.99, a $10 discount from its regular price of $89.99. This introductory pricing strategy seems aimed at quickly building a user base for this new technology.

Alongside the wall charger, Anker also introduced the 25K Power Bank, which complements the charger with its own display and a capacity of 25,000mAh. This power bank is compact, roughly the size of a soda can, yet powerful, offering up to 165W across its ports. It includes three USB-C ports and one USB-A port, with the ability to deliver up to 100W to a single USB-C port for fast-charging laptops.

The image shows two Anker power banks with a 165W output and a 25,000mAh capacity. Both power banks have a sleek design with a digital display showing "100%" charge. One power bank is silver, and the other is black. They feature built-in cables with USB-C connectors and additional USB ports for charging multiple devices.

The power bank adds a layer of convenience with its built-in cables – one external 8.6-inch cord that can double as a carrying strap and another 27.2-inch cord that retracts into the device’s body. This feature ensures you’re never without a cable, a thoughtful touch in our increasingly cable-dependent world.
