Tired of running out of space on your iPhone? Anker has just introduced a nifty new gadget that could be the solution. The MagGo USB-C Adapter is a compact, puck-shaped device that lets you easily connect SD and microSD cards to your iPhone, iPad, or laptop.

But here’s where it gets really interesting: When paired with an iPhone 15 or 16, the MagGo can unlock ProRes 4K recording at 60fps. This is a big deal for videographers and content creators, as ProRes offers superior video quality compared to the standard H.264 format.

How does it work? The MagGo features a MagSafe magnetic attachment, so it sticks securely to the back of your iPhone. This keeps it out of the way while you’re shooting, and it’s easy to remove when you’re done.

One potential downside: The MagGo blocks both of the iPhone’s charging ports. However, Anker has thoughtfully included an additional USB-C port on the device, allowing you to charge your phone while using the MagGo.

Speed matters. Anker claims that the MagGo can transfer data at speeds of up to 312MB/s, which is impressive. Of course, your actual transfer speeds will depend on the type of memory card you’re using.

So, is the MagGo worth it? If you’re an iPhone user who frequently shoots videos or needs to transfer large files, the MagGo could be a game-changer. Its compact design, magnetic attachment, and ability to unlock ProRes recording make it a tempting option.

You can now purchase the MagGo USB-C Adapter for $34.99 on Amazon and Anker. It’s available in aurora white, black stone, and buds green.
