Amazon has dropped the Fire TV Soundbar to $79.99, down from its regular $119.99 price, as part of an Early Prime Big Deal promotion. That’s a 33% discount, matching one of the best prices we’ve seen for Amazon’s entry-level soundbar. The offer is exclusive to Prime members.

At under $80, the Fire TV Soundbar is aimed at anyone looking for a simple upgrade over built-in TV speakers without spending hundreds of dollars on a surround sound system. Instead of adding separate subwoofers or rear speakers, it relies on dual 2.0-channel speakers, Dolby Audio, and DTS Virtual:X processing to deliver clearer dialogue and a wider, more immersive soundstage.

The compact 24-inch soundbar fits comfortably beneath most TVs and connects using HDMI eARC/ARC or optical audio. It also includes Bluetooth, allowing it to double as a wireless speaker for music and podcasts from your phone or tablet.

A good fit for smaller living rooms

If you’re still relying on your TV’s built-in speakers, the Fire TV Soundbar offers one of the easiest upgrades available. Explosions and movie soundtracks gain more presence, while dialogue is generally easier to hear during movies and TV shows.

However, shoppers expecting room-shaking bass or true surround sound should keep expectations in check. This is a 2.0-channel soundbar with no dedicated subwoofer, making it better suited to apartments, bedrooms, dorm rooms, or smaller living spaces than large home theater setups.

Is it a good deal?

Yes. While 33% off may not seem extraordinary on paper, the important part is the actual selling price. At $79.99, Amazon’s Fire TV Soundbar reaches one of its lowest widely available prices, making it a compelling budget option for anyone wanting better TV audio without investing in a more expensive multi-speaker system.

If you’re shopping during Prime Big Deal Days and simply want noticeably better sound for movies, shows, and casual gaming, this is one of the stronger values in the sub-$100 soundbar category.
