Imagine a robot vacuum that doesn’t just glide around your house sucking up dust bunnies—it also picks up your stray socks and tissues like a tiny, helpful butler. That’s the Roborock Saros Z70, and after months of buzz since its big reveal at CES 2025, it’s finally available for pre-order. Priced at $1,899 (down from a jaw-dropping $2,449.98), it’s one of the priciest robot vacuums out there. But here’s the kicker: Roborock is throwing in a free second vacuum with every pre-order, making this futuristic gadget a little easier to justify splurging on. Let’s dive into what this thing can do, why it’s turning heads, and whether this deal is as good as it sounds.

$2,500 $600 off $1,900

The Saros Z70 by Roborock is now $1,899 on preorder with a free vacuum! Its robotic arm, 22,000Pa suction, and smart navigation make it a must-have.

The Robot with a grabby arm

Back in January, when Roborock unveiled the Saros Z70 at CES in Las Vegas, it was the talk of the tech world. Why? Because it’s the first mass-produced robot vacuum with an actual robotic arm—called the OmniGrip. This isn’t some gimmicky little nub; it’s a foldable, five-axis appendage that can extend out, snatch up small items like socks, tissues, small towels, or sandals (anything under 300 grams), and move them out of its cleaning path. Picture this: you’re lounging on the couch, and instead of you bending over to grab that sock your dog dragged across the floor, the Z70 rolls up, deploys its arm, and handles it. It’s like something straight out of The Jetsons.

The arm isn’t just for show, either. According to Roborock, the Z70 cleans in three passes: first, it scopes out your space and marks any grab-able objects; then it comes back to move them aside and clean the newly cleared spots; finally, it can even drop those items in a designated spot—like a laundry basket or near a closet—if you set it up in the app. Sure, it’s slow, but the sheer cool factor of a vacuum that tidies up while it cleans is hard to ignore.

Power and smarts under the hood

Beyond the arm, the Z70 is a beast in the robot vacuum game. It packs a whopping 22,000Pa of suction power—way more than most competitors, like the Roborock Qrevo Master (10,000Pa) or even the sold-out Qrevo Curv (18,500Pa). That’s serious dirt-lifting muscle, whether you’re dealing with pet hair or ground-in crumbs. It also mops, thanks to dual spinning pads that lift 2.2cm to avoid soaking carpets and can detach at the dock when they’re not needed—pretty handy if you’ve got a mix of hardwood and rugs.

Navigation-wise, Roborock ditched the old-school LiDAR tower for its new StarSight Autonomous System 2.0. This combines dual-light 3D Time-of-Flight sensors, RGB cameras, and AI to map your home in meticulous detail and dodge obstacles—like toys or cables—with precision. The company claims it recognizes 108 pre-programmed objects right out of the box, and you can train it to spot up to 50 more custom items via the app. Lost your kid’s favorite teddy bear? The Z70 might just tell you where it last saw it.

Then there’s the AdaptiLift Chassis, a feature borrowed from the Qrevo Curv that lets the Z70 hoist itself over high thresholds or carpet edges—up to 10mm. Pair that with a slim 7.98cm (about 3.14 inches) height, and it’s sneaking under furniture most robot vacs can only dream of reaching. The cherry on top? A swanky Multifunctional Dock 4.0 that empties the dustbin, washes the mop pads with 80°C hot water, and refills the water tank—all while charging the bot in just 2.5 hours.

Preorder deal: buy one, get one free

At $1,899, the Saros Z70 isn’t cheap—high-end robot vacs typically hover around $1,500, and that’s before you add a robotic arm. But Roborock’s launch deal might soften the blow. Pre-order now, and you get to pick a second vacuum for free from a lineup of eight options. There are upright wet/dry vacs like the Dyad Pro Combo, plus two brand-new robot models: the Qrevo S5V and the Q10 S5 Plus.

Shipping starts in early May, and while Roborock hasn’t said how long the BOGO offer lasts, they’ve warned that quantities of the free vacs are limited. So if you’re eyeing this, you might not want to sleep on it.
