Hisense has thrown its hat into the ring with a new contender, the HT Saturn. Unveiled just ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, this system promises to redefine what we expect from home theater audio, especially for those with a penchant for cinematic experiences.

The HT Saturn isn’t your run-of-the-mill soundbar; it’s a full-fledged five-piece surround sound system. Imagine this: four identical satellite speakers, each a node in a network of sound, paired with a robust 6.5-inch subwoofer. This setup delivers a total of 13 speakers, all communicating wirelessly, ensuring your living room isn’t just a space for viewing but an arena for auditory immersion.

Hisense has tailored the HT Saturn to be the perfect audio companion for their expansive 85-inch and larger TVs. It’s not just about size compatibility; this system is engineered to enhance the audio-visual experience, leveraging both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies. This means when you’re watching a blockbuster or enjoying a documentary, the sound isn’t just heard; it envelops you, creating a multidimensional audio landscape that matches the visuals on screen.

One of the standout features of the HT Saturn is its room calibration system. This isn’t just a set-it-and-forget-it affair. The system actively listens to the acoustics of your room, adjusting the sound output to ensure that whether you’re sitting front and center or lounging on the side, the audio quality remains top-notch. It even integrates with the TV’s built-in speakers, expanding the soundstage in a way that makes your room feel like a mini-theater.

A modern living room setup featuring the Hisense HT Saturn wireless home theater system. The room has a large flat-screen TV mounted on a wooden wall with a concrete accent. The TV displays a colorful, abstract sound wave graphic. Surrounding the TV are four black speakers, two mounted on the wall and two on stands placed behind a curved white sofa. A subwoofer is positioned on the floor to the left of the TV. The room also includes a round coffee table with a small decorative plant and a beige throw blanket draped over the sofa. The overall design is sleek and contemporary, emphasizing the advanced home theater system.

In terms of connectivity, the HT Saturn doesn’t disappoint. It supports HDMI eARC for high-quality audio transmission, HDMI IN (Passthrough), optical inputs for legacy devices, and Bluetooth 5.3 for seamless, modern connectivity. Each component is designed to be wall-mountable, which is a godsend for those of us who dread the cable clutter or lack the floor space for traditional speaker systems.

What really sweetens the deal are the five unique EQ modes. Whether you’re in for a movie night, a gaming session, or just chilling with some music, there’s an audio setting to match. This customization ensures that no matter the content, the HT Saturn can adapt for the best listening experience.

While we’re all excited about this system, Hisense has kept us in suspense regarding the price and exact release date. The HT Saturn is set to make its grand debut at CES 2025, where we expect to get all the juicy details on pricing and availability. Until then, if you’re itching for some new audio gear, Sony released some commendable options this year that might tide you over.
