The new 6th-generation iPad mini 8.3-inch is completely redesigned with an all-new larger display, USB-C port, 5G, and a Touch ID move to the top power button same as the fourth-generation iPad Air.

The new iPad mini has an all-screen design with an 8.3-inch display, with the Home Button moved to the top power button, and Touch ID incorporated with the same capabilities we use every day, including secure identification for apps and payments like Apple Pay.

The second-generation Apple Pencil, which can be magnetically attached to the iPad mini for wireless charging and quick pairing, is now supported. P3 wide color gamut, anti-reflective coating, 500 nits brightness, True Tone, and complete lamination are all features of the iPad mini display.

The Apple A15 Bionic chip in the 6th-generation iPad mini features a 6-core CPU that gives up to 40% quicker CPU performance and a 5-core GPU that delivers up to 80% more GPU power than the previous generation.

The iPad mini also has 5G network connectivity, which allows for faster download and upload speeds while preserving battery life. Finally, the iPad mini ditches the lightning port in favor of a USB-C port for charging and accessory connectivity.

The new iPad mini has a brand-new 12MP front-facing ultra-wide camera with Center Stage capability, which was initially introduced in the iPad Pro with an M1 chip. Users can move around while staying in the frame with Center Stage. On the back, the iPad mini has a 12MP camera with focus pixels and a wider aperture.

6th-generation iPad mini price and availability

The new iPad mini is now available to pre-order (including in India) and will ship will starts next Friday from September 24, 2021. The new 6th-generation iPad mini is available in pink, starlight, purple, and space gray color options.

The new 6th-generation iPad mini Wi-Fi model will starts at $499 (₹46,900), and $649 (₹60,900) whereas the Cellular model is starts at $649 (₹60,900), and $799 (₹74,900) for 64GB, and 256GB storage models respectively. You can also personalize your iPad mini with a mix of emoji, text, and numbers with free engraving from Apple.

The accessories are sold separately, Apple Pencil 2nd generation is available for $129 (₹10,900) and the new Smart Folio for iPad mini is available for $59 (₹5,500), Smart Folio is available in black, white dark cherry, English lavender, and electric orange color choice.
