Heads up India! Exciting news for gaming enthusiasts and Xbox fans as Microsoft gears up to launch a higher storage variant of the Xbox Series S console in the country. Unveiled during the Xbox Showcase event, this new version offers a capacious 1TB storage option, providing gamers with even more space to store their favorite games, downloadable content, and media files. Let’s dive into the details of this highly anticipated release, including pricing and availability.

The Xbox Showcase event, a highly anticipated gathering for gaming enthusiasts, was a platform for Microsoft to make several exciting announcements. Among the highlights of the event was the revelation of the expanded storage option for the Xbox Series S. The company has officially confirmed that the 1TB variant of the Xbox Series S will be launched in India on September 1st, 2023, aligning with the global release of the product.

In terms of pricing, the 1TB Xbox Series S will be available for purchase at a price of 38,990 INR. However, it is worth noting that the pricing may vary slightly depending on the retailer from which it is purchased. Comparatively, the existing 512GB option is currently sold for 34,990 INR. With the introduction of higher storage capacity, gamers will have more flexibility and convenience in managing their gaming libraries.

Despite the storage upgrade, it is important to highlight that the new Xbox Series S model will retain the same impressive specifications as its predecessor. This means that gamers can still expect a powerful console that delivers excellent performance, stunning visuals, and smooth gameplay, all in a compact and sleek form factor.

However, it is important to acknowledge the circulating rumors suggesting that Microsoft might increase the prices of its Xbox series consoles in the Indian market. These speculations come in the wake of a recent price hike for the Xbox Game Pass and the company’s strategic focus on the burgeoning cloud gaming market. While no official confirmation has been provided, it is advisable for gamers to stay informed and keep an eye out for any potential price adjustments, which may occur as early as August 2023.
