Remember that pesky time your cat knocked over your favorite planter while you were away? Well, Wyze is making it a whole lot easier to find out who’s to blame. The company is currently testing a new AI video search feature for its Cam Unlimited subscribers that allows you to search through your footage using keywords, instead of scrolling through every single recorded event.
How does it work? It’s pretty straightforward. Simply type in a keyword, like “truck” or “delivery person,” and the AI will search through your footage and pull up relevant scenes. You can even get more specific by typing something like “show me my cat in the backyard” or “woman under an umbrella.” The AI will then use its smarts to find the exact moments you’re looking for.
While Wyze admits that the feature isn’t perfect, it still sounds like a massive improvement over the current process of manually sifting through hours of footage. It could save you countless hours of frustration and help you find the exact moment you’re looking for in a matter of seconds.
Wyze’s AI search is currently available to Cam Unlimited subscribers, which costs $9.99 per month. If you’re interested in trying it out, you can request access from Wyze’s website. However, it’s worth noting that Wyze has had some security issues in the past, so proceed with caution.
