WiiM, a company that’s been quietly carving out a niche in the wireless audio world, just dropped three new devices that might make your ears perk up. Meet the WiiM Sound, the brand’s first smart speaker; the Sub Pro, a beefy subwoofer; and the WiiM Amp Ultra, a streaming amplifier that’s got audiophiles buzzing.

WiiM’s jumping into the smart speaker game with the WiiM Sound, and it’s hard not to notice its sleek, cylindrical design—think Apple HomePod with a modern twist. This isn’t just a pretty face, though. The Sound packs a punch with a four-inch woofer and what WiiM calls “dual-balanced mode radiator tweeters,” delivering 100 watts of power. Want more? Pair two for a stereo setup that could fill your living room with sound so rich you’ll swear you’re at a live gig.

What sets the Sound apart is its techy smarts. A 1.8-inch high-res touchscreen on the side lets you flick through playlists, tweak settings, or just admire the album art. The speaker’s got a built-in microphone that listens to your room’s acoustics and fine-tunes the output to match—think of it like a personal sound engineer. If you’re picky about your audio (who isn’t?), you can dive into a 10-band equalizer or pick from 24 preset sound profiles via WiiM’s mobile app.

Connectivity is where the Sound flexes its muscles. With Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and an Ethernet port, it’s ready to stream from over 20 music services, including Spotify, Tidal, and Deezer. It plays nice with Chromecast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, DLNA, and Alexa Cast, so you can beam music from your phone or tablet without breaking a sweat. And for hands-free vibes, you’ve got Alexa, Google Assistant, or a wireless remote that responds to voice commands.

WiiM’s keeping the price under wraps until the Sound hits shelves in Q3 2025, but it’ll be available on Amazon and select retailers. If you’re in the market for a smart speaker that’s as versatile as it is powerful, this one’s worth watching.

If the WiiM Sound’s low end leaves you wanting more, the Sub Pro is here to shake things up. This subwoofer is built for bass lovers, boasting an eight-inch driver and a 250-watt Class-D amplifier that operates in the 25-200Hz range. Whether you’re blasting hip-hop or diving into a cinematic soundtrack, the Sub Pro promises to deliver those gut-punching lows.

Like the Sound, the Sub Pro is packed with modern conveniences. It supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, ethernet, and even an RCA input for hooking up to your home theater setup. The same room-sensing tech and 10-band EQ from the Sound are here, letting you dial in the bass to suit your space. Control it all through the WiiM Home app, and you’re good to go.

Pairing the Sub Pro with the WiiM Sound could create a killer combo for music or movie nights. No pricing or release details yet, but expect it to launch alongside the Sound later this year.

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the WiiM Amp Ultra. WiiM’s calling it their “most refined streaming amplifier yet,” and it’s easy to see why. Housed in a sleek aluminum chassis with a 3.5-inch touchscreen, this amp is as much a statement piece as it is a powerhouse. It’s built with high-end components, including an ESS ES9039Q2M Sabre DAC, and pumps out 100 watts per channel to drive up to four passive speakers at once.

Streaming is the Ultra’s bread and butter. Dual antennas ensure rock-solid connections over Wi-Fi 6E or Bluetooth 5.3, even when you’re spinning high-res tracks at 24-bit/192kHz. The WiiM Home app lets you pull music from Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, and more, while support for Google Cast, Alexa Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, DLNA, and Roon opens the door to other apps. Voice control? You’ve got Alexa, Google Assistant, or the included wireless remote.

The Amp Ultra doesn’t skimp on versatility. An HDMI ARC port with Dolby Digital decoding makes it a great fit for your TV setup, and a dedicated subwoofer output means it plays nicely with the Sub Pro. Whether you’re building a multi-room audio system or just want to power your favorite speakers, this amp’s got you covered.

WiiM’s been flying under the radar compared to giants like Sonos or Bose, but they’re gaining traction for a reason. Their focus on high-res audio, modern connectivity, and user-friendly apps has earned them a loyal following among audio nerds.

The timing’s also worth noting. With streaming services pushing hi-fi audio—think Tidal’s lossless tracks or Amazon Music’s Ultra HD—there’s growing demand for gear that can handle those formats without choking. WiiM’s leaning hard into Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, which offer faster, more reliable connections than older standards. Plus, their multi-room audio ecosystem, controlled via the WiiM Home app, puts them in direct competition with Sonos, but potentially at a lower price point.

WiiM’s playing it coy on pricing and exact release dates, which is a bit of a bummer. Based on their track record, though, expect these devices to be competitively priced—likely undercutting premium brands while delivering comparable (or better) performance.

If you’re an audiophile or just someone who loves good sound, WiiM’s latest lineup is worth keeping an eye on. The Sound could be a dark horse in the smart speaker race, the Sub Pro might rattle your floors, and the Amp Ultra looks like a dream for anyone building a high-end audio setup. Stay tuned for Q3 2025, when these devices hit the market and we finally get the full scoop on pricing.
