WhatsApp is gearing up to introduce native multi-account support. With its diverse range of applications, spanning from personal to business interactions, many users find it desirable to maintain separate accounts for distinct aspects of their lives. Currently, WhatsApp lacks the functionality for multiple accounts, forcing users to resort to creating duplicate copies of the app. Fortunately, this inconvenience may soon be a thing of the past, as WhatsApp has been observed working on a feature that will enable users to log into multiple accounts directly from the app.
Notably, WABetaInfo, a reliable source for WhatsApp updates, recently discovered evidence of multi-account functionality within the latest WhatsApp Business beta for Android 2.23.13.5. Once implemented, this feature will eliminate the need to create separate app copies, allowing users to seamlessly access multiple WhatsApp accounts on a single device. Additionally, indications suggest that this functionality may also extend to the regular version of the app, benefiting a wider user base.

The accompanying screenshot reveals the potential for users to effortlessly switch between different accounts via WhatsApp’s settings menu. This streamlined approach will prove particularly advantageous for individuals utilizing the dual-SIM functionality on their phones and actively engaging with WhatsApp on both numbers. With multi-account support, managing conversations, notifications, and file sharing across multiple accounts will become remarkably more convenient.
As of now, it remains uncertain whether WhatsApp’s multi-account support will be compatible with companion devices. It is reasonable to anticipate that this new feature will initially be introduced to the beta channel before becoming available for public release.
It is worth noting that WhatsApp’s competitor, Telegram, already offers similar multi-account support within its application. Therefore, by introducing this feature, WhatsApp would essentially be catching up to its rival. Nonetheless, the Meta-owned platform has made significant strides in bridging the feature gap with Telegram in recent times. Notable updates include the introduction of Channels, message editing capabilities, Chat Lock, and various other enhancements.
