After more than a year on Android, the VPN by Google One service is now available on iOS and iPadOS. Google One subscribers on Premium plans (2 TB and higher) will be able to use VPN by Google One through the Google One app on iOS.

Members may also share their plan and VPN with up to five family members at no extra charge, allowing them to access the VPN regardless of whether they have an Android or iOS device.

Note: The VPN by Google One service works only in 18 countries, see the full list here, Google is trying to add more countries in the near future to support the VPN service.

If VPN by Google One is not supported in your country or does not fulfill your needs, I recommend you to try Surfshark VPN (82% off + 2 months free) with unlimited device and cross-platform support at just $2.30/mo with the purchase of a 2-year plan or take 50% off on 6 months plan at $6.49/mo.

Google One is an iCloud-like membership service that primarily provides users with additional online storage space to keep their files such as photos, docs, and other files. Users that subscribe to Google One’s highest, or premium, tier will now have access to a VPN, according to the company.

In a blog post, the company stated, “Today, we’re beginning to roll out the VPN to iOS devices.” “The VPN will be available to Google One members on Premium plans (2 TB and higher) through the Google One app on iOS, similarly like on Android.”

“Plus, members can share their plan and VPN with up to five family members at no extra cost,” Google added, “so they can all access the VPN, regardless of whether they’re using an Android or iOS device.”

The VPN for iOS or iPadOS requires the premium Google One service. It costs $9.99 per month or $99.99 annually. The premium tier also includes “Pro Sessions” for help and training, in addition to the VPN. It also comes with 2TB of cloud storage.

However, Google One VPN is not the same as a current third-party VPN. While it gives customers privacy, it does not allow them to get beyond geographic restrictions, such as watching Netflix in another country.

Don’t forget the Surfshark VPN at an 82% discount + 2 free months, if you don’t wanna go with VPN by Google One.
