The image shows the Voicemod Key device, a voice changer and soundboard that connects a headset, smartphone, and gaming console together to allow real-time voice changing and soundboards on console voice chat. The device is centrally positioned with icons indicating its connectivity options: a music note for audio, a game controller for gaming, and a headset for communication. Surrounding the device are illustrations of a gaming controller, a headset, and other elements related to gaming and communication. The background is a vibrant blue with electric lines connecting the device to the peripherals, emphasizing its connectivity features. The text "VM KEY" is prominently displayed on the device and along the sides of the image.

For gamers who’ve always wished to spice up their in-game banter with creative voices or sound effects, the new Voicemod Key is here to make that dream a reality. Now available for purchase in the U.S., the Voicemod Key bridges the gap between consoles like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, and Voicemod’s beloved voice-changing tech—no PC required.

The Voicemod Key is a compact USB-C device that works alongside your smartphone (iOS 16 or later / Android 8.1 or later), wired headset, and gaming console. By running the Voicemod mobile app, users can access real-time voice-changing features and a soundboard loaded with effects. Whether you want to sound like a robot, a chipmunk, or use over-the-top audio memes, this gadget delivers an interactive layer to multiplayer gaming.

Initially revealed in July, the device caters to long-standing user demands for console integration, which was previously blocked by platform restrictions. It’s a plug-and-play device, offering a user-friendly setup: connect your headset, phone, and console through the Key, fire up the app, and you’re good to go. It even plans future compatibility with mobile voice apps, expanding its appeal.

The Voicemod Key retails at $59.99 but comes at a discounted price of $35.99 for Voicemod PRO subscribers. The Voicemod’s PRO subscription also grants access to more than 100 voices, soundboard enhancements, and integrations for creators using tools like Stream Deck. You can read the differences between the Free and PRO Voicemod here.

Currently, the Key supports only wired headsets due to its audio processing setup. While this may limit some users with wireless setups, it aligns with typical console gaming gear, ensuring broad compatibility.

Voicemod CEO Jaime Bosch describes the Key as a tool to make online interactions more engaging and memorable, whether you’re cracking jokes in Fortnite or hosting creative gaming streams. As voice chat increasingly becomes a core part of gaming culture, devices like these let players amplify fun and creativity in their sessions.

“In-game voice chats are becoming essential for building real connections in the digital world,” said Jaime Bosch, CEO and Founder at Voicemod. “Gamers value the convenience of console platforms, and we’re excited to bring our real-time voice transformation technology to all their favorite consoles. Voicemod Key makes online interactions more engaging, memorable, and fun—no matter where they happen.”

The Voicemod Key signals an exciting shift for gamers looking to merge tech creativity with console simplicity. While it’s limited to the U.S. for now, global gamers are hopeful for wider availability soon.
