TP-Link, the world-renowned provider of smart home devices, has made its grand entrance into the world of robot vacuums with its new Tapo RV10 and Tapo RV10 Lite. Both models are designed with the budget-conscious consumer in mind, offering an affordable yet high-performance cleaning solution for your home.
The Tapo RV10 is a $250 vacuum and mop combo that uses advanced gyroscope-based “zig-zag path planning” to clean your floors more efficiently than other random-path vacuums. This feature ensures that every square inch of your floor is thoroughly cleaned without missed spots. The device also offers four suction levels – quiet, standard, turbo, and max – with a maximum suction power of 2,000Pa. In addition, the Tapo RV10 has noise suppression technology to keep the sound as low as 53dB in quiet mode.
On the other hand, the Tapo RV10 Lite is a vacuum-only model that is $20 cheaper than its sibling. Despite the absence of a mopping function, the RV10 Lite compensates by doubling the dustbin size to 800ml and retaining all other features of the RV10.
The RV10 and RV10 Lite are compatible with the Tapo app for iOS and Android, as well as Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. The vacuums have a 2,600mAh battery, providing an estimated three hours of cleaning per charge. If the battery runs low before finishing the cleaning task, the device will automatically dock, recharge, and resume cleaning where it left off.
The Tapo RV10 sets itself apart from its vacuum-only sibling with its 300ml water tank, electronic pump, and three water flow levels. The RV10’s dustbin has a capacity of 400ml, which is smaller than the RV10 Lite’s, but it makes up for it with its mopping function.
TP-Link’s entry into the robot vacuum market is a step in the right direction for consumers looking for an affordable and efficient cleaning solution. With features like zig-zag path planning, multiple suction levels, noise suppression, and voice control compatibility, the Tapo RV10 and RV10 Lite are an excellent choice for anyone looking to simplify their cleaning routine.
