With a GPS tracker and a mobile phone app, Vodafone is assisting pet owners in keeping track of their pets. The mobile provider has released a pet tracker pack that includes a Curve smart GPS tracker, pet features in the Vodafone Smart app, and a clip to attach to the pet’s collar as part of its Curve range. The Curve tracker can be securely attached to a pet’s collar or harness, and owners can follow them in real-time using the Vodafone Smart app.

Existing Curve users can take advantage of the two pet features – Pet Walks, which logs previous walks and distances, and Pet Profile, which stores information such as breed and traits – as part of the pet tracking option at no additional cost. They can also include the pet tracker clip into their existing routine.

The clip comes with a variety of adaptors in various sizes to ensure a comfortable and secure fit. The device is sturdy, compact, and waterproof, with an IP67 rating, making it ideal for the most daring pets. The tracker uses GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular technology to link to the Vodafone IoT network via a built-in smart SIM, allowing dogs to be tracked from afar.

Users of the Curve smart GPS Tracker can continue to specify zones in the app, such as a park or their home, and receive notifications when their pet enters or departs these areas. For added peace of mind, owners can share access to their pets’ locations with other family members and dog walkers via the app.

The Curve smart GPS tracker has won five accolades for innovation since its premiere in 2020, including the Red Dot Design Award and the GLOMO Award for Best Connected Consumer Device.

Pet ownership is on the rise in Europe, with an estimated 88 million homes keeping a pet. 86.5 percent of owners said theirs gave emotional support throughout the pandemic, according to a recent survey. Vodafone says this demonstrates its continuous commitment to connecting people to what matters most in their life since it was developed using this insight and feedback from pet owners across Europe.

The pack was made for pet owners for pets and is based on Vodafone’s scalable IoT platform. The global platform enables goods, experiences, and services to be designed once and distributed across markets and categories, making this effortless for users, thanks to a single app and consistent design language throughout the Vodafone smart tech range.

“With pet ownership growing and our customer insights showing that people want to stay connected to what matters most more than ever, Curve pet tracker pack has been developed to give pet owners that all-important feeling of reassurance wherever they are,” said Lutfu Kitapci, global managing director of Vodafone Smart Tech. “Built for ease of use, intuitively designed, and connected through Vodafone’s global network, we’ve developed an enhanced experience based on our customer insight for one of the most popular ways to use Curve today – to keep track of our pets.”

The Curve smart GPS Tracker is available in the UK and costs £30, while the Curve Pet tracker clip is available for £12 (now £6 for a limited time). If you want to purchase a complete Curve Pet tracker pack then it cost you £42 (now £36 for a limited time) which includes Curve smart GPS Tracker and Curve Pet tracker clip and is available in Slate and Dove color options.
