After a long wait, James Reece is finally heading back into action. Prime Video has confirmed that The Terminal List Season 2 will premiere on October 21, 2026, bringing Chris Pratt back as the former Navy SEAL Commander for a much larger international mission.

The second season will launch with all eight episodes at once, giving viewers the complete new chapter on day one. The series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The new season is based on True Believer, the second novel in Jack Carr’s James Reece series. While the first season centered heavily on Reece’s personal quest for revenge, Season 2 shifts the story toward an international espionage thriller.

James Reece gets a much bigger mission

Season 2 finds Reece searching for a new purpose after completing his list. His attempt to move forward does not last long, however, as he becomes entangled in a conspiracy involving unknown forces attempting to disrupt the global order.

The story takes Reece far beyond the setting of the first season, with the new adventure spanning the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. The conspiracy reaches from Moscow to Langley and eventually connects with Reece’s own family history.

That broader scope is one of the biggest changes for the series. What started as a psychological revenge thriller is expanding into a globe-trotting story involving intelligence agencies, international threats and Reece’s complicated past.

Prime Video’s trailer also gives a glimpse at Reece being pulled back into the world he tried to leave behind, while introducing a new group of characters around him.

Chris Pratt returns with a larger ensemble

Pratt is back as James Reece and also serves as an executive producer on the series.

The returning cast includes Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings, Constance Wu as journalist Katie Buranek, Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq and Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry.

Gabriel Luna joins the cast as Freddy Strain, alongside Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Arnold Vosloo, Martin Sensmeier and Shiraz Tzarfati.

David DiGilio returns as showrunner, writer and executive producer. The executive-producing team also includes Jack Carr, Antoine Fuqua, Kat Samick, Max Adams, Jared Shaw and Pratt.

The production continues to emphasize military authenticity, with veterans involved in writing, technical advising, acting and directing roles. Former Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza, who worked on Warfare, is also involved with the series.

All eight episodes arrive October 21

Prime Video isn’t stretching the new season across multiple weeks. All eight episodes of The Terminal List Season 2 will be released on October 21, giving subscribers the entire season from the start.

The new season arrives more than four years after the original series debuted in 2022, although the franchise has continued during that gap with the prequel The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.

With Season 2 now moving the story into the events of True Believer, Reece’s next chapter looks considerably broader than the revenge-driven story that introduced him.

For anyone who has already watched the first season and Dark Wolf, October 21 is when the James Reece story moves into its next major phase.
