Apple TV+ today announced a premiere date for its upcoming “The Problem With Jon Stewart” which is set to debut globally on Thursday, September 30, 2021, and its official podcast will also debut on the same date on Apple Podcasts and via RSS.

Stewart will host and executive produce “The Problem With Jon Stewart” under his Busboy Productions. Showrunner Brinda Adhikari, together with Stewart’s longtime manager James Dixon and Richard Plepler’s EDEN Productions, which has an exclusive overall production deal with Apple, executive produce the series. Lorrie Baranek is the supervising producer and Chelsea Devantez is the lead writer.

“The Problem With Jon Stewart” is a multi-season, single-issue series that explores the subjects that matter most to us. Stewart will be in conversation with those who are affected by the issue, as well as those who help to create it, in this new Apple Original series. They will consider a more constructive course of action together.

The companion series podcast will continue the discourse from each episode, with crew members from around the show bringing us interviews with activists in the space, statistics about the subject, and, of course, lots of jokes.
