Surfshark has recently introduced its Bypasser feature to the iOS platform, enhancing user control over VPN connections on iPhones and iPads. This addition allows users to specify which websites bypass the VPN, ensuring seamless access to services that may restrict VPN usage, such as online banking or government portals.

Bypasser, Surfshark’s version of split tunneling, enables users to route specific internet traffic outside the VPN tunnel while maintaining encryption for other activities. This flexibility ensures that users can access IP-sensitive services directly without compromising the security provided by the VPN.

Here’s how to use Surfshark Bypasser on iOS

  • Open the Surfshark app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Navigate to the ‘Settings‘ tab.
  • Select ‘VPN Settings‘ and then tap on ‘Bypasser.’
  • Tap ‘Add website‘ to specify the sites you wish to exclude from the VPN connection.

This feature was previously available on Surfshark’s Windows, Android, and web extension applications. The recent update extends this functionality to iOS devices, with plans to introduce support for macOS in the near future.

Bypasser offers a practical solution for users who require VPN protection but also need direct access to certain services. By allowing specific traffic to bypass the VPN, users can enjoy the benefits of both secure and unrestricted internet access.
