Yikes! Buckle up Star Wars fans, ’cause things are getting a little bumpy for Ubisoft’s upcoming game, Star Wars Outlaws. This open-world adventure is supposed to be a big deal, the first of its kind in the Star Wars universe, but a recent gameplay video dropped by IGN on July 17th has some fans feeling less than thrilled.

The main issues? Graphics and enemy smarts (or lack thereof). People are saying the game looks rough, not quite what you’d expect from a big-budget title. Comments on the video were brutal, with some folks basically saying “don’t pre-order.” Ouch. Things got even more specific, with fans pointing out how a mission that sounded cool, exploring a giant dead space monster, ended up looking like just wandering around a boring cave.

But hey, not everyone’s hating! Over on Reddit, some fans are actually pretty hyped. They’re digging the gameplay and think it looks solid. So, there’s that.

Ubisoft, though? They’re sticking to their guns. When someone (a fancy financial person) asked if they might push back the release date because of the bad buzz, Ubisoft said “clear no.” They did promise to show more gameplay soon, maybe to win back those worried fans.

This isn’t the first time Star Wars Outlaws has gotten some side-eye from fans. Earlier, the pricing caused a bit of an uproar. Now, with the release just around the corner (August 30th!), Ubisoft’s gotta figure out how to deal with the negativity while still getting people excited for this Star Wars adventure. Will the new gameplay footage fix things, or just make them worse? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
