The countdown is on for Star Wars fans eagerly awaiting the release of the upcoming open-world adventure Star Wars Outlaws. With the game’s launch date of August 30th fast approaching for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC, the question on many minds is: where can I secure my preorder?

Anticipation has been building since the game’s unveiling at last year’s Star Wars Celebration event. Developed by Massive Entertainment, a studio under the Ubisoft umbrella, Star Wars Outlaws promises an ambitious tale set between the events of Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Players will step into the boots of Kay Vess, a scruffy scoundrel navigating the criminal underworld while outrunning the watchful eye of the newly risen Empire.

Where and how to preorder Star Wars Outlaws

As the release date draws near, major retailers have begun listing their Star Wars Outlaws preorder offerings. Savvy gamers know that preordering not only ensures a copy on launch day but often comes with enticing bonuses and incentives. In the case of Star Wars Outlaws, several editions are available, each with its own set of digital extras.

Star Wars Outlaws Standard Edition

  • PlayStation 5 — $69.99 Amazon / Best Buy / GameStop / Target / Ubisoft Store
  • Xbox Series X — $69.99 at Amazon / Best Buy / GameStop / Target / Xbox Store / Ubisoft Store
  • PC — Ubisoft Store

Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition

  • PlayStation 5 — $109.99 at Amazon / Best Buy / GameStop / Target / Ubisoft Store
  • Xbox Series X — $109.99 at Amazon / Best Buy / GameStop / Target / Xbox Store / Ubisoft Store
  • PC — Ubisoft Store

Star Wars Outlaws Ultimate Edition

  • PlayStation 5 — $129.99 at Ubisoft Store
  • Xbox Series X — $129.99 at Xbox Store / Ubisoft Store
  • PC — $129.99 at Ubisoft Store

The Standard Edition, the most basic offering, includes the base game and a pre-order bonus dubbed the “Kessel Runner Pack,” which unlocks cosmetic skins for Kay’s starship and speeder. For those seeking a little more bang for their credits, the Ultimate Edition adds the “Sabacc Shark Character Pack,” featuring additional cosmetic customization options for Kay, her blaster, and her droid companion, Nix.

However, the crown jewel for die-hard Star Wars enthusiasts is undoubtedly the Gold Edition. In addition to the base game and pre-order bonuses, this premium package grants access to the game’s Season Pass, which promises two upcoming story-driven DLC packs, as well as a Day 1 mission and cosmetic items. Perhaps most enticingly, Gold Edition buyers will gain three days of early access, allowing them to dive into the seedy underbelly of Star Wars Outlaws before the official release date.

While the game won’t be available on Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus at launch, there is a glimmer of hope for subscribers of Ubisoft’s own gaming service, Ubisoft+. Members of this subscription platform will not only have the option to play Star Wars Outlaws through the service but will also enjoy the same three-day early access perk as Gold Edition buyers.
