The new second-generation AirPods Pro matches the first model in design. Customers may now swipe up or down on the stem’s new Touch Control function to change the volume, and in addition to small, medium, and large silicone ear tips, there is now also an XS size option.

Apple claims that the new second-generation AirPods Pro offer “richer bass and crystal-clear sound across a wider range of frequencies” thanks to the H2 processor, a new low-distortion audio driver, and a unique amplifier. In comparison to the original AirPods Pro‘s 24-hour maximum listening time, the charging case now offers up to 30 hours of total listening time.

The new charging case no has a built-in speaker at the bottom of the case and support for Find My, IPX4-rated sweat and water resistance, and an integrated lanyard loop. In addition to MagSafe charging and wireless charging using an Apple Watch‘s magnetic charging puck, the new casing still offers a Lightning connector for wired charging.

According to Apple, buyers can use the Apple Store app to customize the new AirPods Pro charging case with Memoji pictures of unique poses.

The second-generation Apple AirPods Pro will be available for pre-order this Friday, September 9, 2022, and will be shipped on Friday, September 23, 2022, with a price tag of $249 at Apple.com, the same price as the original one.
