From now until March 24th, 2022, Western Digital is offering a chance to all customers to save up to $160 on its WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe SSD with heatsink. This discount can be redeemed at checkout with the promo code SN850SAVES for a limited time until the stated date. The promo code only works on 1TB and 2TB models, while the 500GB model already has a $50 discount that doesn’t require a promo code because it didn’t work even after you tried to apply, and for 1TB and 2TB models, here’s how this promo code works, but first let’s look at the original price of all three models on Western Digital’s website, which all three come with built-in heatsinks and are compatible with the PS5.

The regular price of the 500GB model is approximately $169.99, while the 1TB and 2TB models cost approximately $249.99 and $449.99.

Western Digital’s T&C: Discount offer valid only for the qualifying products above bought online through the Western Digital Store when using applicable coupon code. The coupon code may not be combined, used in conjunction with or used in addition to any other promotion or offer and does not apply to taxes or shipping costs.

The 1TB WD_BLACK SN850 Gaming Internal NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD with Heatsink from WD uses PCIe 4.0 x4 technology to give read speeds of up to 7000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 5300 MB/s, making long load times obsolete. This SSD, which is optimized for top-tier gaming and compatible with Sony‘s PlayStation 5 console, also has random read rates of up to 1,000,000 IOPS and random write speeds of up to 720,000 IOPS to save you from lag when playing next-gen games like AAA titles.

A heatsink is also included, which keeps the WD_BLACK SN850 cool even when under load. Also featured is an M.2 2280 form factor, a 1.75 million hours MTTF (mean time to failure), an endurance of 600TB, and 3D NAND flash memory.

Compatibility

  • Sony PlayStation 5
  • PCIe Gen3 x2, PCIe Gen3 x1, PCIe Gen2 x4, PCIe Gen2 x2, and PCIe Gen2 x1
