According to The Economic Times, Samsung is planning to hire 1,000 engineers from IITs and other engineering colleges for its research and development institutes across India. Students who have attended an IIT will account for approximately 200 of the total hires.
Engineers will be recruited from computer science (and related fields), information technology, electronics, instrumentation, embedded systems, and communication networks, among other fields. The company will also hire people with backgrounds in mathematics and computing, as well as software engineering.
Artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, image processing, IoT, connectivity, cloud, big data, business intelligence, predictive analysis, communication networks, system on a chip, and storage solutions will be among the technologies used by the new hires. The hires will be distributed across institutes in Bengaluru, Noida, and Delhi, with the start date set for 2023.
