Samsung launched the new Portable SSD T7 Shield, the newest addition to the Samsung T7 Portable SSD family that includes the T7.

As we noticed, the Portable SSD T7 Shield doesn’t have a fingerprint security password protection but it now supports dustproof and water-resistant thanks to an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, with Dynamic Thermal Guard to control heat.

And as per the specs, it has the same specs such as read/write speed is 1050Mbps/1000Mbps thanks to USB 3.2 Gen 2 and PCIe NVMe to achieve this speed. And for other specs, Portable SSD T7 Shield almost has the same specs as Portable SSD T7 Touch and T7, except for fingerprint sensor product dimension and weight.

The Portable SSD T7 Shield has the coolest feature which is a high-tech rubber exterior with Dynamic Thermal Guard that controls heat to maintain steady performance for even giant projects.

The T7 Shield is Samsung’s most durable PSSD to date, making it ideal for outdoor content creators or travelers who need a data-rich experience without having to worry about data loss from exposure to the elements. The T7 Shield is shock-resistant from drops of up to three meters and with a new d design, the T7 Shield is compact and lightweight, weighing just 98 grams.

The Portable SSD T7 Shield is the best choice for gamers to transfer large game files as well as for professionals to complete tasks such as high-quality video recording, editing, transferring a huge number of high-quality pictures or 4K/8K videos or encoding and rendering without compromising on performance.

And when it comes to compatibility, the Portable SSD T7 Shield is compatible with multiple devices including PC, Mac, Android or gaming consoles. When you bought Portable SSD T7 Shield from online or offline stores, we recommend you format Portable SSD T7 Shield with the exFAT format if you’re planning to use Portable SSD T7 Shield on multiple devices. For a better understanding, read CNET’s guidelines for external drive formatting.
