Samsung can’t seem to keep a secret these days. Renders leaked this week give us an early glimpse at the design of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 foldable phone, Samsung’s flagship device expected to launch at a July Unpacked event.
The images published by outlets SmartPrix and OnLeaks reveal a device with more squared-off edges compared to the softer look of the Galaxy Z Fold 5. This boxier aesthetic brings it more in line with the recent Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Specific dimensions for the Fold 6 come in at 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1mm unfolded, making it slightly shorter and wider than its predecessor. The inner screen stretches 7.6 inches diagonally, with a 6.2-inch external cover display when closed.
Beyond the sharper edges, the standard Fold formula holds: a familiar triple rear camera suite, top-mounted mics and speakers, bottom-placed USB-C charging port. Volume and power remain on the right edge, SIM slot is on the left.
Spec-wise, leaks point to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset, 12GB or 16GB RAM options, up to 1TB storage, OLED 120Hz refresh rate screens, and a 50MP main + 12MP ultrawide + 10MP telephoto camera system, plus 10MP selfie cam.
Samsung’s reluctance to show its hand this early backfires again as these unauthorized leaks spread, building anticipation for an Unpacked showcase likely to highlight both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the new Galaxy Ring. With an air of mystery removed, Samsung will need to demonstrate true innovation rather than just sleek new styling to generate excitement for the next iteration of Z devices heading our way this summer.
