Samsung enthusiasts and tech enthusiasts, mark your calendars for July 26th! Samsung has officially announced that its next Unpacked event will take place on that day at 1 am ET / 10 pm PT / 5 am UTC. While it may be an early morning for those on the east coast, it will be an evening affair in Seoul, the chosen location for this highly anticipated event. From the teaser image and text accompanying the announcement, it’s evident that Samsung has exciting plans in store, with the spotlight likely to be on their new flip-style foldable phones, possibly the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the eagerly awaited Z Fold 5. In addition, the event is expected to showcase the new Galaxy Watch 6 and some Galaxy Tablets.

The flip-style foldable phone portrayed in Samsung’s promotional image aligns with the rumors and leaks circulating thus far, featuring a sleek, lower-profile hinge. The design suggests a phone that can seamlessly close flat, providing a satisfying user experience. Unfortunately, the profile view doesn’t reveal much about the cover screen, although reports indicate it will be significantly larger than the small screen found on the Z Flip 4. If these rumors hold true, we’re in for a visually impressive device.

Interestingly, Samsung is heading into this summer’s foldable-focused Unpacked event with a touch of competition-induced heat. Google recently launched its highly anticipated Pixel Fold, while Motorola has made a comeback with the delightful Razr Plus. However, Samsung has an extensive track record in the foldable phone market, and the decision to hold the event in its hometown of Seoul suggests the company’s dedication to the foldable category. All will be unveiled in just a few short weeks, and even if you can’t be in Seoul to witness the excitement firsthand, you’ll have the opportunity to watch the event online. Just remember to have your coffee ready for an immersive virtual experience.

Furthermore, Samsung is once again offering preorder reservations for its upcoming devices. By reserving your spot early, you’ll be entitled to a $50 credit when you eventually place your pre-order. The process is simple, requiring only your name and email address, and reservation sign-ups are open from tonight until July 25th. Samsung’s flexibility with this reservation system allows consumers to secure their place in line without any immediate commitment, making it an enticing offer.
