Samsung today announced a new smart monitor with new designs and in different sizes options where Samsung called it a “do-it-all” screen display for businesses, academia, and consumers.

This Smart Monitor offers integrated media and productivity apps, versatile connectivity, built-in speakers, and a solar cell-powered remote control. Also, Smart Monitor offers integrated media and productivity apps, versatile connectivity, built-in speakers, and a solar cell-powered remote control that charges from indoor sunlight, lightbulbs, or a USB-C connection and is crafted from recycled plastic for the reduced carbon footprint.

The new monitor now includes a new large-screen 43-inch M7 (UHD & support HDR10) model for an immersive experience in big display size. And M5 Full HD models now available in 24-inch, 27-inch, and 32-inch displays feature a new white color option. The display also works without a connection to a PC or mobile device that means users can access the OTT content and stream their favorite movies or shows on Netflix, HBO, or YouTube.

Samsung today also announced a new “TV Plus” which is completely free live and on-demand content with no downloads or sign-up required. Also, the new “Universal Guide” offers content recommendations based on an analysis of the user’s preferences and viewing patterns, ensuring fully personalized suggestions on popular apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, and more.

Samsung also upgraded voice assistant which now allows Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa alongside Bixby. And the Remote Access feature will be updated to “PC on Screen” in June 2021, enabling simple and secure connectivity between the Smart Monitor and external PCs for improved usability.

Samsung’s new Smart Monitor offers a better connectivity option for both PCs and smartphones. Users can connect their personal mobile devices with just a quick tap using Tap View, Mirroring, or with Apple AirPlay 2. In addition, Samsung DeX allows users to enjoy a complete desktop experience by connecting their monitor with their mobile device.

The display also supports Microsoft 365 applications, enabling users to view and edit documents and conveniently save them on the cloud even without a PC connection with an embedded Wi-Fi. Smart Monitor offers better connectivity, including a USB Type-C port, USB ports, and Bluetooth 4.2 capabilities, while the USB Type-C ports are only limited to the M7 model. Samsung didn’t mention pricing but you can check the M7 model from here.
