Razer, a leading brand in gaming peripherals, has unveiled its latest gamepad, the Wolverine V3 Pro. This innovative controller introduces several groundbreaking features, particularly the inclusion of Hall effect joysticks. A first for a Razer gamepad, these joysticks promise to enhance precision and eliminate the dreaded “drift” issue commonly associated with traditional analog sticks.

Designed with competitive gamers in mind, the Wolverine V3 Pro offers a robust feature set that includes:

  • Hall effect joysticks: These advanced joysticks utilize magnetic sensors for precise tracking, ensuring accurate and responsive control.
  • Wireless connectivity: The V3 Pro is Razer’s first fully wireless controller for Xbox consoles. This provides gamers with the freedom to play without the constraints of a cable.
  • Customizable controls: The controller’s back paddles, D-pad, and face buttons can be easily customized to suit individual preferences.
  • Tournament mode: For wired play, the V3 Pro offers a Tournament Mode with a 1000Hz polling rate for ultra-responsive control.

One of the standout features of the Wolverine V3 Pro is its eight-way floating D-pad. This design provides precise directional input, making it ideal for games that require precise movement. Additionally, the controller’s Viper mouse switches ensure crisp and responsive button presses.

The controller is black with the distinctive Xbox logo power button in the center top, surrounded by the usual configuration of two analog sticks, a directional pad on the left, four action buttons marked with ‘Y’, ‘B’, ‘A’, and ‘X’ on the right, and two bumper buttons along with triggers on the upper front edge.

The V3 Pro also boasts a range of ergonomic features, including rubberized grips and swappable thumbstick caps. These features provide comfort and customization options for gamers of all sizes and preferences.

The Wolverine V3 Pro is priced at $199.99 and is compatible with both Xbox and PC. Razer has also announced a wired version, the Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition, which will be available for $99.99.
