Razer is back at it again, shaving millimeters off its famed Blade chassis while packing in more raw graphical muscle than ever. Fresh off the heels of its revamped Blade 16, the company has quietly unveiled its thinnest 14-inch gaming laptop yet, and for the first time in a Blade this compact, you can spec a full-power NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with its full 115W TGP unleashed.

Gone are the days when portable gaming meant sacrificing performance or bulk. The 2025 Blade 14 now tip-toes in at just 0.62 inches (15.7 mm) at its slimmest point and tapers out to 0.64 inches (16.2 mm) at the thickest, making it 11 percent thinner than its predecessor. It also sheds weight, coming in at a feathery 3.59 pounds (1.63 kg), down roughly 11 percent from last year’s model. Razer accomplished this feat by overhauling its thermal hood design and internal cooling architecture—borrowed straight from its Blade 16 redesign—which maintains high performance without burning through battery life.

Under the hood, every Blade 14 ships standard with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor—a 10-core, 20-thread chip that boosts up to 5.0 GHz and packs a 12-core Radeon 880M integrated GPU alongside a dedicated AI accelerator capable of 50 TOPS of matrix math. On the discrete-graphics front, you have two flavors:

  • GeForce RTX 5060 (up to 115W TGP): Starts at $2,299.99.
  • GeForce RTX 5070 (full 115W TGP): Tops out at $2,699.99, and crucially, Razer isn’t dialing back its clocks to fit the thin chassis—you get the chip’s full power headroom.

That 115W envelope means you can expect sustained framerates in AAA titles rather than throttle-limited dips, a rarity in 14-inch form factors. Add in NVIDIA’s latest DLSS 4 and ray-tracing improvements courtesy of the Blackwell architecture, and you’ve got desktop-class gaming performance on the go.

Visuals are handled by a 14-inch, 3K (2880×1800) OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 0.2ms response time, and NVIDIA G-SYNC support for tear-free gameplay. It’s a vivid, razor-sharp canvas for everything from open-world epics to high-frame-rate esports titles. Underneath, you’ll find per-key RGB backlighting fully compatible with Razer Chroma, so you can customize effects or sync with other peripherals.

Memory and storage are equally generous: up to 64GB of soldered LPDDR5X RAM and a 2TB NVMe SSD. While you can’t swap out the RAM, the single M.2 slot is user-accessible if you want to upgrade your storage down the road.

Connectivity hasn’t been sacrificed on the altar of thinness. You get:

  • Two USB4 Type-C ports w/ PD 3.0 (40 Gbps, DisplayPort 1.4)
  • Two USB 3.2 Type-A ports
  • HDMI 2.1 output (8K 60 Hz / 4K 240 Hz)
  • Reversible proprietary power connector
  • 3.5 mm combo audio jack
  • UHS-II microSD card reader (a nod to prosumers, even if it’s not full-size).

Battery life remains robust despite the svelte silhouette, courtesy of a 72Whr cell optimized alongside the new cooling design. Razer’s own figures peg it at up to 11 hours of mixed-use, though real-world results will vary by workload.

Aesthetically, the Blade 14 mirrors its bigger sibling’s T-shaped hinge and CNC-milled aluminum unibody. But for the first time, you’re not limited to “Razer Green” accents on black—Razer is also offering an arctic white finish that flips the script on its typically stealthy palette.

To complement the Blade 14, Razer is also rolling out a lower-cost Blade 16 equipped with the RTX 5060 for $2,399.99, set to land alongside the 14-inch models in May.

In a market where rivals like the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 strive to balance portability and performance, Razer’s latest Blade 14 stands out by refusing compromises. It’s thinner, lighter, and yet capable of unleashing full-throttle GPU power in a chassis that slips into a messenger bag without complaint. If you’ve been eyeing a desktop-level gaming machine you can actually take on the road—without carrying a brick—you now have a new contender at the top of the list.

All configurations of the 2025 Blade 14 are expected to launch in May 2025 through Razer’s online store and select retailers worldwide.
