About Rainbow Six Extraction

Rainbow Six Extraction is a multiplayer cooperative game for up to three players. The operatives in Rainbow Six Extraction must penetrate an alien-infested facility and perform goals such as collecting samples, extracting materials from computers, and acquiring information. Each play session referred to as an “incursion,” is made up of three interconnected sub-maps, with players being assigned to one of the twelve objectives in each sub-map at random.

The positioning of opponents and the place of the goals are both randomly generated. Once the player has achieved their goal, they can choose to leave or explore the next sub-map. The new region would be more challenging than the previous one, but those who completed it successfully would receive additional rewards.

Early extraction assures the safety of all operators. If an operator is destroyed by an enemy, they will go missing in action, and players will not be able to play as them again until they are retrieved in an extraction mission. Characters that were severely damaged in the previous quest will continue to be hurt and will only slowly heal.

In Extraction, several Siege operatives return, having created the Rainbow Exogenous Analysis and Containment Team (REACT) to combat the alien menace. Players can choose their operator from a pool of 18 before starting any assignment. Each operator is equipped with its own set of weapons and devices.

Pulse, for example, has a heartbeat sensor that allows him to identify attackers through walls, while Alibi may confuse enemies with a holographic decoy. Because players in the same session must choose three separate characters, team composition is critical to success.

Players may send out recon drones to scout the area, strengthen doors and windows to close entries and shoot through walls, just like in Rainbow Six Siege. In order to succeed, players must collaborate and coordinate with one another. The game has a ping mechanism that allows players to reveal hostile threats and resource locations to other players.

The “Archaeans” are the aliens portrayed in the game. There are unusual varieties of the standard adversaries, such as spikers, who can shoot sharp missiles from their bodies, and rooters, who can substantially slow the player down. A calficifying lime known as “sprawl” is applied to the affected areas.

While standing on Sprawl, players’ speeds are substantially slowed, and foes become significantly stronger. Sprawl can be fended off by firing at it. Extraction moves at a slower pace than most other cooperative multiplayer games.

The health of the players would not regenerate, and health pick-ups, supplies, and ammo would be rare. The use of stealth is recommended. If an opponent detects the player after generating too much noise, the player will shriek, attracting more opponents.
