The Pokémon Company International and WildBrain have announced the launch of a new Free Ad-Supported Television (FAST) channel dedicated to the classic Pokémon anime series. This channel will initially be available in the United States, with plans to expand to Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand in the future.
The first 22 seasons of the original Pokémon anime will be featured on the channel, offering fans a nostalgic experience and easy access to their favorite episodes. Melissa Pearce, senior director of media licensing at The Pokémon Company International, commented on the partnership, stating that FAST TV is an excellent platform for connecting with audiences and providing accessible, family-friendly content.
WildBrain, a leading distributor of ad-supported channels, has a proven track record in bringing popular franchises to viewers. Their other channels include properties such as Super Mario Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog, and Inspector Gadget, which can be found on platforms like Tubi and Pluto.
The launch of this new Pokémon channel comes following the closure of the Pokemon TV app earlier this year. While the exact launch date for the new channel has not been announced, The Pokémon Company has provided alternative platforms for fans to watch their favorite shows.
