PlayStation has announced a new collaboration with LISA, and somehow the strangest part isn’t that the K-pop star is getting her own DualSense controller. It’s that her eyes are basically going to be watching you play.

The LISA x PlayStation collection arrives this October, bringing a limited-edition DualSense wireless controller alongside a range of LISA-themed merchandise. And while the controller looks perfectly recognizable as a DualSense at first glance, the touchpad is where things get a little weird.

LISA’s eyes take center stage.

Her bangs stretch across the top of the touchpad, while her eyes sit prominently in the middle, surrounded by stars and other details inspired by her imagery. So yes, you’re effectively going to be holding a PlayStation controller with LISA staring directly back at you.

It’s an oddly effective design choice. The DualSense already has that large, empty touchpad sitting right in the middle, and Sony has essentially turned it into LISA’s face.

But the eyes aren’t stopping at the controller.

The collaboration also includes a controller carrying case, apparel, caps, a tote bag, keychains, stickers, and other merchandise. LISA’s presence is pretty much everywhere across the collection.

Which brings us to the obvious question: how many LISA eyes are too many LISA eyes?

Apparently, PlayStation hasn’t found the limit yet.

The limited-edition DualSense costs $84.99 and will be available starting October 30, with preorders opening October 2. PlayStation says the collection will be available in select markets, with availability varying by product and region.

And honestly, I’m not sure what makes this collaboration so funny. Maybe it’s the fact that the controller looks like a completely normal DualSense until you notice that someone has essentially put a pair of eyes in the middle of it.

Then you look at the rest of the collection.

More LISA.

You look back at the controller.

Still LISA.

At some point, this stops being merchandise and starts feeling like you’re being supervised.

PlayStation wanted to make a LISA controller. It succeeded. It also apparently decided that the controller should look back at you.
