Pinterest has introduced a new tool called Content Claiming Portal, a tool that helps Content creators and Publishers to build their value on Pinterest. With this tool creators and publishers have the ability to remove their existing content as well as future versions of their content.

To get started, content creators can submit their application through the Content Claiming Portal, if their application is approved then they will be able to upload their original content and select from one of the following options:

  • Mine only: Remove existing and future versions of the images from Pinterest, except Pins originally saved by me.
  • Website only: Remove existing and future versions of the images from Pinterest, except Pins that link to my claimed website(s). (This option will only be available if you have a claimed website.)
  • Block all: Remove all existing and future versions of these images from Pinterest.

Once the right holder uploads a particular image, then they can tell Pinterest they want to allow that image to appear on Pinterest. If creators choose to block images, then Pinterest will remove any matching images that Pinterest able to identify.

But for now Content Claiming Portal is now available only for invited content creators around the world, but Pinterest told that they will be expanding this tool available to more creators in the coming months.
