The AI search startup is rolling out a new product called Perplexity Health, and the headline feature is a bit of a jaw-dropper: it can plug directly into Apple Health and other health platforms so it can answer your medical questions using your actual data, not just generic web results.
At a basic level, Perplexity Health is a layer on top of the Perplexity experience that understands your lab results, Apple Watch metrics, and information from your healthcare providers, then combines that with medical literature to give you more personalized answers. Instead of asking “What does a resting heart rate of 90 mean?” and getting a broad, SEO-optimized listicle, the idea is that Perplexity can look at your recent activity, your historical averages, maybe your sleep trends, and then explain that number in context for you.
