If you’ve been keeping tabs on OnePlus, you know they’re always tweaking and enhancing their devices. The latest update for the OnePlus Pad 2, which has just received the OxygenOS 15.0.0.401 update brings a suite of new features and system enhancements that are set to make your tablet experience smoother and more intuitive.

The headline feature of this update is the introduction of AI Reply. This smart tool analyzes the context of your chats and suggests replies, adapting to different language styles for a more natural conversation flow. Whether you’re juggling between work emails or catching up with friends, AI Reply could save you time and make your communication a bit more seamless.

One of the standout features for those switching from iOS is the ability to migrate live photos. With the Clone Tablet feature, you can now bring over those dynamic memories from your iPhone or iPad to your OnePlus Pad 2, preserving the essence of your moments.

Other changes include:

  • Live alerts: Now, you’ll get more interactive notifications. You can see the status of your torch, charging information, and even updates from Spotify right on your Live Alerts. This means less digging through menus and more doing.
  • Interface tweaks: There’s a new way to interact with your apps; you can now drag a floating window into full screen, enhancing your multitasking capabilities. OnePlus has also fixed a quirky issue where icons on the status bar would glitch when a Live Alert capsule appeared.
  • Performance and stability: This update promises better system stability and performance, which should translate to a smoother daily use experience. Battery life has seen some love too, with optimizations meant to last you longer through your day.
  • Security: With the integration of the December 2024 Android security patch, OnePlus ensures that your data and device are safeguarded against the latest known vulnerabilities.
  • Visual fixes: One minor but annoying issue that’s been addressed is the flickering of the home screen when switching between landscape and portrait modes. No more distracting screen jumps!

This update, bearing the firmware version OPD2403_15.0.0.401(EX01), is currently rolling out to OnePlus Pad 2 users in India. It’s an incremental rollout, meaning it’s coming to devices in batches to ensure everything goes smoothly. If you’re on OxygenOS 15 already (based on Android 15), you’ll be among the first to get this update. Don’t worry if you don’t see it immediately; broader availability is just around the corner.
