At the end of July 2021, Oculus announced it discontinued its Quest 2 64GB version by introducing an Oculus Quest 2 128GB model to the list with the same price tag 64GB model for $299. Oculus Quest 2 is now available today to customers at the same price of $299, while the 256GB is available at $399 (now $499 due to a price increase) but is currently out of stock. Interested customers can purchase Oculus Quest 2 128GB version from their official Oculus website at $299 (now $399 due to a price increase in July 2022, read HERE).

In July 2021, Oculus also announced a new silicon cover for all Quest 2 models globally including this 128GB model. This silicone cover fits over the Quest 2 removable foam facial interface and it will be coming to every Quest 2 headset packaging, which means every new customer will receive a silicon cover in Quest 2 packaging without additional cost.
