Nothing Phone (1) officially debut in India: See features, price, and specs

Nothing Phone (1) has been officially launched in India featuring a transparent design with 900 LED lights built-in at the back, plus an impressive two color options: Black and White and looks similar to iPhone 12-like flat edge design. The Phone (1) debuted with an introductory price in India through Flipkart, starting at Rs.31,999 (or €469/£399) and Rs.34,999 (or €499/£449) for the 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB models while the 12GB+256GB top model price at Rs.37,999 (or €549/£499).

As per the specs, Nothing Phone (1) comes with a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 60Hz to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate with 240Hz touch sampling rate and supports HDR10+ for rich color and deep contrast for content and included Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front as well as on the back and an aluminum frame on the side.

Reportedly Nothing hone (1) is supposed to debut with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 but after specs reveal it got attention to Snapdragon 778+ SoC and boasts internal storage of 128GB and 256GB with 8GB and 12GB RAM while 12GB RAM exclusively for 256GB model.

Talking about its battery, Phone (1) has a 4500mAh battery with 33W fast charging, Nothing claim Phone (1) charges 50% in 30 minutes and fully charges in 70 minutes. It also has 15W wireless charging support and 5W reverse wireless charging and also supports Power Delivery 3.0 and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0.

Moving to the camera department, Phone (1) has a 50-megapixel main wide camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with a Samsung JN1 sensor while the 16-megapixel front-facing camera features a hole-punch display camera for selfies and video calls.

Nothing Phone (1) runs on the Android 12 version with NothingOS, a custom OS quite similar to the stock Android user interface. Nothing promising to offer Phone (1) with 3 years of Android update support and 4 years of security patch updates every 2-month release.

The Phone (1) includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock support for security.

Talking about Nothing Phone (1) features, it features 900 LED lights on the back that light up when users receive new notifications, phone rings, messages, or an email. Phone (1) also offered 10 Glyph patterns that will be used to set a specific ringtone for specific contacts.

Phone (1)’s camera app offers Studio light and Glyph light mode that can be used in well-light images in limited lighting conditions.

Nothing Phone (1) Pricing & Availability

When comes to pricing point, Phone (1)’s base model starts at Rs.31,999 for the 8GB+128GB model and Rs.34,999 for the 8GB+256GB model while the top one 12GB+256GB model cost approximately Rs.37,999 in India and sold via Flipkart online store. The official first sale of Nothing Phone (1) will be held on July 27 at 7 pm in India through Flipkart.

First, Nothing Phone (1) will be sold in London in Covent Garden on July 16 at 10 am local time and then on July 18 via limited supplies through select retail partners. Aside from India and UK, the Nothing Phone (1) will be offered in Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Macau, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, and UAE.
