MOONDROP, the renowned audio equipment manufacturer, has finally released the details of its much-awaited audio-focused smartphone, the MIAD01. The company announced the phone’s pricing and availability, along with its specifications yesterday.

The MIAD01 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, which features an octa-core CPU and Arm Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. The phone comes with 12GB of LPDDR4X memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, with the option to expand the storage up to 2TB via a microSD card.

In terms of camera, the MIAD01 features a dual-camera setup on the back, with a 64MP primary shooter and a secondary camera, which is likely to be a depth sensor. On the front, the phone has a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The MIAD01 boasts a 5000mAh battery with 33W USB-PD charging, along with 5Gbps USB 3.1 connectivity. The phone measures 9.15mm at its thinnest and weighs 202g, making it comfortable to hold and carry around.

The device features a 6.7-inch 1080p curved OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1920Hz PWM dimming, providing a smooth and immersive viewing experience.

One of the standout features of the MIAD01 is its audio capabilities. The phone has dual headphone jacks, with a 4.4mm balanced and a 3.5mm single-ended output. The balanced jack has a 4Vrms output, while the 3.5mm has a 2Vrms output. The audio is powered by flagship quad-channel dual Cirrus Logic MasterHIFI DACs, which provide excellent sound quality.

The audio circuit features a 6-layer gold-sinking and an independent LDO power supply, ensuring high-quality audio output. The device also features a 100-level hardware-level DAC volume control and the MOONDROP Audio Center app with DSP functionality.

The MOONDROP MIAD01 is priced at 2499 RMB, which is approximately $345, making it an affordable option for audiophiles. The phone will be available in China starting April 25. However, the company has not yet announced the international availability of the device.
