Microsoft’s new AI-powered Xbox chatbot is now available to Xbox Insiders, giving gamers a fresh way to resolve support issues directly from within the Xbox ecosystem. The chatbot, part of Microsoft’s broader effort to integrate AI into its Xbox services, is designed to assist players with console and game-related support inquiries. This virtual assistant is currently available to Insiders in the U.S. via support.xbox.com and offers guidance on everything from account issues to troubleshooting game errors.

One of the unique aspects of this chatbot is its animated design, allowing users to choose between a character-like assistant or a colorful Xbox-themed orb, creating a more engaging support experience. According to Megha Dudani, a senior product manager lead at Xbox, Microsoft values feedback from Insiders and aims to use it to enhance the chatbot’s functionality before a potential wider rollout. This initiative aligns with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s company-wide push to leverage AI, making Xbox support more interactive and efficient for gamers.

With this move, Microsoft is making strides in gaming support and exploring other potential AI applications across Xbox services. The chatbot’s focus on support could be a stepping stone towards more integrated AI features in gaming, hinting at a future where AI might play a role in enhancing gaming experiences beyond just support.
