Microsoft recently unveiled its latest additions to the Surface laptop family during a hardware event in New York City. The Surface Laptop Studio 2 and Surface Laptop Go 3 come with a range of exciting features, alongside the promise of enhanced performance and improved battery life. Both laptops are set to hit the market on October 3, 2023, with preorder options already available.
Surface Laptop Studio 2
Starting at $1,999.99, the Surface Laptop Studio 2 may look similar to its predecessor but packs significant upgrades under the hood. Microsoft boasts that it’s twice as fast, thanks to the inclusion of Intel 13th Gen i7 processors and Nvidia’s RTX 4050 and 4060 GPUs. Notably, it’s the first Windows computer to feature the Intel neural processing unit, promising enhanced AI capabilities.

In terms of connectivity, the Surface Laptop Studio 2 comes with two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, a microSD card reader, and the Surface Slim Pen 2. It also boasts a customizable haptic touchpad, touted as the most inclusive touchpad on any laptop.
Preorder Discounts: While the base configuration starts at $1,999.99, savvy shoppers can secure substantial discounts. For instance, you can snag the base model for just $1,799.99. Similarly, opting for the same configuration but with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics will cost you $2,159.99 instead of $2,399.99. Various other configurations offer similar savings, making this an excellent opportunity to grab a high-end laptop at a reduced price (see the attached screenshot below for all configurations).

Surface Laptop Go 3
The Surface Laptop Go 3 continues the tradition of its predecessor with a 12.4-inch 3:2 aspect ratio PixelSense touchscreen. Weighing less than 2.5 pounds, it’s the lightest Surface device yet and promises an 88 percent boost in performance compared to its forerunner, all while delivering all-day battery life.

Available in four stylish colors: gray, blue, pink, and green — the Surface Laptop Go 3 starts at $799.99. This base model includes 256GB of storage, 8GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i5 processor. If you want more power, there’s an option to configure it with up to 16GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and an Intel Core i5 processor for an additional $200.
Preorder Discounts: The real draw here is the preorder discounts. You can secure the base model for just $719.99 instead of the usual $799.99, saving $80. Similarly, the 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD configuration can be preordered at $899.99 instead of the standard $999.99, offering a savings of $100 (see the attached screenshot below).
